Who are The Gift Maison?
We’re a UK-based personalised gift and jewellery studio. We started out making personalised balloons and grew into jewellery, keepsakes and gifts for weddings, birthdays and everything between. Everything is dispatched from the UK.
Will your 18k gold plated jewellery tarnish?
Our jewellery is 18k gold plated over tarnish-resistant stainless steel, so it holds its colour far better than plating over brass or copper. To keep it looking new, take pieces off before swimming, showering or applying perfume and lotion — contact with chlorine, water and alcohol is what wears plating down over time.
What is your jewellery made from?
Our jewellery is gold or silver plated over a stainless steel base, chosen for durability and for how well it holds its finish with everyday wear. If you have a known metal sensitivity, do get in touch before ordering and we’ll help you choose.
How long does personalisation take?
Personalised items are made to order. Please allow 2-3 working days for us to prepare your piece before it ships. Non-personalised jewellery is dispatched sooner.
How much is delivery, and how long does it take?
UK delivery is £3.99, and free on orders over £40. Orders typically arrive within 2-3 working days after dispatch as we use Royal Mail Tracked 48.
Can I return a personalised item?
Personalised items are made specifically for you and can’t be resold, so we’re unable to accept returns where you’ve simply changed your mind — please check your spelling and initials carefully before ordering. If something arrives damaged or faulty, we’ll always put it right, personalised or not. Full details are on our Delivery & Returns page.
Do orders arrive gift-ready?
Yes. Every order arrives in gift-ready packaging, so it can go straight to the person it’s for without rewrapping.
Can I order matching pieces for a bridal party?
Absolutely — it’s one of the things we’re asked for most. Order one of each item per person and enter each name at checkout. Clutch bags, jewellery boxes and clover sets all work well as coordinated gifts, and ordering the same colour across the party photographs beautifully.
